After rainy season opener in Kuusankoski some time ago it was time for second race of the summer season, this time in Helsinki. The practice heats showed that Finnish XRAY team is well in pace. We found out that our âśstandardâť setup from last year works very well also in this track. The only changes made to that were Raycer chassis and composite c-hub suspension components. It appeared that the composite chassis makes the car more consistent and slightly easier to drive.
The first round of finals was won by Teppo Kauppinen followed by Jouko Termonen. In the second round Teppo managed to build a decent lead, but made a mistake and Jouko managed to take the win so it was all up to last final. Teppo kept it cool and won the last one and took the win in the âśrealâť season opener. In standard class Ari Salminen could overtake Joni Mielonen to take 1-2 for XRAY before Marko Salminen with AE.
